Your Data Rights Under GDPR

CreatorTool is designed with privacy by default. The vast majority of our tools process data entirely in your browser — meaning no personal data is ever sent to our servers. This page explains our compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related privacy frameworks including KVKK (Turkey) and CCPA (California).

1. Data Minimization by Design

CreatorTool follows the principle of data minimization. Our 18 client-side tools (Word Counter, Case Converter, DIFF Checker, Line Sorter, Word Randomizer, Random Sentence, Google Search Preview, Title & Meta Checker, H1 Tag Checker, Canonical Checker, Noindex Checker, Countdown Timer, Percentage Calculator, Unit Converter, Email Extractor, Password Generator, JSON Formatter, and Code Minifier) process all data exclusively in your browser. No text, numbers, URLs, passwords, or files entered into these tools ever leave your device.

Only two tools involve server storage: the Bio Link builder and URL Shortener, which store your created content to make it publicly accessible. For these tools, you can delete your data at any time through your account dashboard.

2. Lawful Basis for Processing

For the minimal data we do process (account information for registered users, bio link content, short URLs), our lawful basis is:

• Consent: You voluntarily provide information when creating an account
• Legitimate interest: Anonymous analytics to improve our services
• Contract: Providing the bio link and URL shortener services you request

3. Your GDPR Rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right of Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold
• Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data
• Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request deletion of your data
• Right to Restrict Processing: Limit how we use your data
• Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
• Right to Object: Object to processing of your personal data

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained until you delete your account. Bio link pages and short URLs are retained until you delete them. Anonymous analytics data is retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default).

5. Data Transfers

We use Google services (Analytics, AdSense) which may process data on servers worldwide. Google complies with GDPR through Standard Contractual Clauses and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

6. Cookie Consent

We use essential cookies for logged-in sessions and analytics/advertising cookies via Google services. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings at any time. Since most tools require no login, you can use them without accepting any cookies.

7. KVKK (Turkey) Compliance

Under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK No. 6698), we comply with data minimization, purpose limitation, and data subject rights equivalent to GDPR. Your explicit consent is required for any data processing beyond the essential functioning of our services.
